Author highlighted April 2022 Ephemeris used with permission by Astro.com First thing on Friday, April 1 there’s a New Moon in Aries in the Eastern US. Aries is a momentous sign for fresh starts. This New Moon stimuli lasts two weeks until the Full Moon. Both Chiron and Mercury are nearby this monthly conjoining of Sun and Moon. Mercury suggests busy communications, buy/sell commercial transactions and active stock trading. Adding Chiron, we can be motivated to heal wounds as well as past financial pain from ongoing market volatility. Zodiac sign Aries is guided by Mars, the hot red planet of war and action. Therefore, Ukraine may find a new turning point. At the same time this New Moon occurs, asteroid Juno has just met Saturn at 22° Aquarius. Juno holds sway over important partnership matters while Saturn can feel restrictive, dutiful or stern. Since Aquarius seeks independence and can sometimes be rebellious, relationships may experience difficulties if one person is not allowed breathing room. The energies of these two heavenly bodies lasts briefly. All considered it’s a dynamic way to start the month. Additional tension will be strongly felt as Mars then follows with a conjunction to Saturn again at 22° Aquarius during the first week of April. I’ll call it a woeful trifecta. My best guess is this triple conjunction will only increase volatility and limit upward momentum. Mars wants rapid forward motion however Saturn demands steady patience. This pairing can feel like frustration on steroids, especially on Monday, April 4. Pressures should soften a bit once Venus enters Pisces on Tuesday, April 5. Here are two suggestions to make the most constructive use of these trying sky vibes. #1: Aim high by forming new structures. #2: Focus current efforts on strategic plans to build a bridge for future success. Mars, Saturn and Juno making this rare triple contact in Aquarius denotes innovation, genius and mindful progress. It’s a good time to review and reinforce stocks in technology like EVs, AI, and robotics. We may even hear surprising news about joint business ventures in these sectors. Also noteworthy on April 4-5, the Mars-Saturn meeting will make an angular 90° connection of tension to the Lunar Nodal Axis. The Lunar Nodes are two opposing invisible points that represent our collective consciousness. This brief Mars-Saturn square to the Nodes definitely highlights even more strain and pressure being felt throughout humanity. In fact, all of April until June 18, the North Node remains (astrologers say “stations”) at 22° Taurus. Stationing degrees most often signal there’s some sort of lesson to be learned. It's noteworthy to reveal what legendary astrology, healer, and clairvoyant “Charubel” conveyed about 22° Taurus in his book, “The Degrees of the Zodiac Symbolized”: “A king sits upon a throne; behind him stands a figure veiled in black.” Additional interpretation states, “It signifies one who will suffer misfortune in the height of his career and whose fall will be dangerous in proportion to the height he has attained. The native will be too apt to depend on his own powers and will essay feats which will be beyond his natural powers. Ambition will lead him into dangerous positions, and at a weak moment he will fall. Let this be taken as equally affecting his physical, moral, and social welfare. It is a degree of COLLAPSE.” I’ve been wondering how this North Node transit will manifest itself in the world for many months. Will a world leader fall, and who might that be? Astrology offers great clues and insights to trends, however cannot dictate fortunes or results beyond human free will. Throughout April, Saturn inches slowly from 22°-24° Aquarius. The 2° orb square aspect between Saturn and the Nodal Axis will linger into May. Burdened feelings of restriction, depression, and sadness, plus a general serious tone are all possible. The collapse Charubel mentions might also relate to stock markets. There are further astrology configurations later this year indicative of a bear market. Without a doubt this is the kind of month and year that will test our endurance. I’ll write more about these transits and trends in the months ahead. Ongoing themes about money, personal values, our talents and skills are being highlighted throughout 2022 while Uranus and the North Node travel zodiac sign Taurus. One hopeful astrological highlight in April is the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces, exact on April 12 at 10:42 a.m. Eastern Time. This rare alignment reaffirms the biggest dreams we can ever imagine, whether or not they come true. Financial and mundane interpretations of this specific combination include increased prices in crude oil, issues with water and/or amplified rain-related storms. Both Jupiter and Neptune are gaseous planets. “Irrational exuberance” is an appropriate description. During this phase it’s prudent to remember wishful thinking can be deceptive. With Jupiter conjunct Neptune in Pisces, it can be an expansive renewal for natural gas or wise beginning for hydrogen fuel cells to become part of our energy supply. Crude oil prices already appear to be overheated and rising. This Jupiter-Neptune pairing also suggests we’re now at or near peak oil. It likely won’t be until February 2026 when Saturn conjoins Neptune that we see high gas prices finally dissipate. By then there’s a greater likelihood of reduced oil consumption along with more electric car choices for consumers. The EVs are coming! The EVs are coming! If at all possible, file and complete your taxes by April 7 or April 8 when Mercury in Aries forms an auspicious 60° sextile alignment to Saturn and Mars in Aquarius. You can thank me later for this advice. The Full Moon in Libra on Saturday, April 16 once again highlights partnerships matters from earlier in the month. “La Luna” crests on the holiday weekend right around “Tax Day”. Planet Pluto will form a 90° square to both Sun and Moon. This can signify personal challenges and pressures with power players and government. In 2022 the US tax filing deadline falls on April 18. Along with an exact Sun square to Pluto that day, Mercury conjuncts Uranus, and Venus is sextile Uranus. These Uranian energies can point to surprises and/or upsets with communications, paperwork and money. I find it kismet rather than an odd coincidence how these planetary combos all fall on Tax Day. The IRS is now asking about virtual currency holdings on the first page of Form 1040. Cryptocurrency is ruled by Uranus, while money and currencies fall under the realm of planet Venus. You’ll want to answer this question correctly. On April 19 the Sun enters money sign Taurus. This brings further emphasis on financial matters. Then on April 22 to April 23, Mercury conjoins Uranus at 22° Taurus. Prepare for sudden shocking news whether in the markets and/or about crypto. Headlines about tech stocks or social media may surface. Brilliant inventions can favorably appear on the horizon. In addition to communications and neighborhoods, Mercury also rules local travel and transportation. We may learn of further supply chain disruptions. Let’s hope instead that innovation will help guide our way through those continued postponements. The month ends with more astrological drama. On Friday, April 29, Pluto turns retrograde, suggesting a time when those in power will begin thorough reviews of government policies. It’s likely Congress will be actively strategizing behind the scenes until Pluto turns direct on October 8. On Saturday, April 30, we have a Solar Eclipse in Taurus. We might expect some surprises since the Moon will conjoin Uranus shortly thereafter. The two financial planets Venus (money) and Jupiter (wealth) will also conjoin at this Solar Eclipse to open a portal. Yet again, it’s money as the #1 theme. The next Solar Eclipse in Taurus is sure to shine a light on student loan forbearance which as of this writing officially ends Monday, May 2. For many years I’ve heard economists say student loan debt will herald the next big stock market crash. Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine, rising inflation, continued supply chain delays, a lingering pandemic, and trillions of dollars in government and personal debt are simply not conducive to a burgeoning bull market. It’s definitely more fun to be a bull than a bear, especially as we journey through Taurus season. After all, zodiac sign Taurus is symbolized by a bull. Day and swing traders may wonder why a full-on bull market isn’t already raging under the collective influence of the North Node and Uranus in Taurus. Perhaps mad bulls will decide to make a run for it since “the sky’s the limit” with Jupiter conjunct Neptune. All investors should hold onto their hats (and money) this year. Try your best not to hurl while riding this 2022 rollercoaster. Of course, astrology offers more daily and other short-lived transits worth noting, but I’ve reached my finish line for this post. © 2022 Trudy Carol

March 2022 Highlighted Ephemeris used with permission by Astro.com I use a trusted ephemeris to forecast general investor and consumer sentiment. Market timing is never easy, but the universe gives us clues to movement and momentum via sky translations. I’ll highlight the primary cyclical astrological-based stock market trend analysis of March below using planetary alignments and their significance in how they might influence US financial markets. In astrological analysis, the Moon is considered a planet. All transits are based on Eastern Time. March 1 – 2: Mercury contacts Saturn in the zone of society, groups and innovation. This brief encounter suggests a serious tone to business and geopolitical communications. Mercury influences talk, mental thoughts and on a mundane level, daily transportation. Saturn brings a sense of restraint and sometimes depression. This combination foretells a possible reversal of earnings. Commercial transactions and supply chain issues may be restricted while economic and global news remains somber. March 2: New Moon in Pisces spotlights new beginnings for fluid investments in water, oil, wine and spirits, plus hospitals, pharmaceuticals, hotels and cruises for most of the month if not longer. March 1 – 6: Pluto, Venus, and Mars join together in the sector of authority and ambition. This suggests governments are fully engaged as powerful international leaders (Pluto) discuss actions of war and military conflict (Mars) along with peace, finances, and partnership allies (Venus). Extreme market volatility for this duration is likely. Issues of control may besiege administrations and even corporate entities which may filter down to individuals. Solid future gains and opportunities for investors managing their money appear to be transforming. Due to this week’s overall trend, preferred equities to invest in may be energy and defense stocks. Either of these sectors may offer a hedge against inflation and the current war between Russia and Ukraine that’s got everyone on high alert. March 3 – 6: Sun conjoins Jupiter in the area of hidden secrets, deception, dreams and fantasy. This added layer indicates commanders-in-chief and our own inner ego drives for wealth expansion may be optimistic yet lack full clarity or realistic expectations. Inflationary issues may be a focus while day traders feel overly zealous to reap quick gains. My advice is to strategize through a magnified lens as you seek further buying opportunities. Not to sound bearish, but for long range investors it’s safer to remove any rose-colored glasses you’re wearing and avoid being overly optimistic. We can feel extremely positive and idealistic under this bountiful yet short-lived ephemeral influence. Cautionary measures with targeted diversification are advised. As with the monthly New Moon phase, this congruence of Sun and Jupiter initiates a new cycle of revitalized interest for investing in the following areas for possible profits until mid-April 2023: all liquids like water, oil, wine and spirits, plus hospitals, pharmaceuticals, cruise ships and hotel resorts. However, these plays may be short lived since the Sun enters Aries for the Spring Equinox on March 20. Aries is ruled by warrior planet Mars so again this hints that defense stocks might be wiser for the time being and immediate future. Machinery, metals, mining, minerals, and sports-related stocks are additional equities worth considering. March 6 – 14: Venus conjunct Mars together enter the 11th house sector of societal group associations and innovation. On the positive side: we may now see greater activity between partners with more worldwide humanitarian efforts. Since every planet has a positive and negative side, we might also encounter problems with computer hacking, especially in banking and finance. Remember, Venus equates to money, Mars means war, and they’re now in a tech savvy position. For investment income, technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics may gain some momentum. Social network companies like Meta (Facebook), Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Pinterest are businesses that may receive more traction either up or down. Expect continued volatility. This week-long Venus-Mars sequence reinforces two prior cycles. First was a Mars-Saturn conjunction which began at the end of March 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic exploded. After that we began a 20-year Jupiter-Saturn cycle about refreshing structural expansion that started on December 21, 2020. Mars-Saturn, Jupiter-Saturn, and Mars-Venus are all repeatedly meeting at 0° Aquarius suggests the Age of Aquarius (yes, like the song) is noticeably dawning. Unfortunately, with this minuscule beginning degree, enlightenment is at its infancy and equal to a newborn baby who enters the world kicking and screaming. Although humanitarian and pioneering, Aquarius has a rebellious side. In modern astrology this zodiac sign is guided by planet Uranus which can be erratic and drastically shift markets. For long range investing, research stocks with technical applications that might advance society for the next two decades. Ultimately, it’s a long-term growth trend that won’t pay dividends now. p.s. The Venus-Mars pairing doesn’t separate beyond 3° until March 22 so we’ll be feeling these lingering energies a while. March 11 – 14: Sun conjoins Neptune in the area of hidden secrets, deception, dreams and fantasy. A lack of clear direction is heightened days before the Federal Reserve meets. Everyone already expects a rate hike due to inflation, yet no one knows just how high the Fed intends to raise rates. As I look ahead to April astrology there are trends that inflationary concerns will only increase. I’ll write more on that later for next month. The full picture remains concealed until Jerome Powell speaks. Try not to imagine the worst as we all wait with baited breath. There’s much information we’re not being told. Once the Fed Chairman finally tells us his intentions, we should attempt to read between the lies lines. Citizens and markets have already been upset by Russian armies invading Ukraine, and the US now tops $27 trillion in debt. Perhaps they’ll announce a minimal rate increase. Or not. March 16 – 18: Full Moon in the area of details and analysis opposes Mercury, Jupiter, Neptune and Sun in the region of dreams and make-believe. This is a perfect time for the Fed to finalize financial points and provide clear guidance. Investors should scrutinize and strive to find a balance in achieving visionary goals with the data and facts the Federal Reserve now delivers. The critical puzzle pieces of knowledge we’ve longed for arrives, however these transits in mutable signs means some fluctuations in the coming months are probable. March 18 – 22: Venus and Mars now highlighted by social-minded innovations are challenged by surprises from Uranus in matters of finance. Money and partnerships (Venus) as well as humanitarian or combatant actions (Mars) are likely distressed when squared off by the planet of shock and awe (Uranus). Technology, cryptocurrencies, communications and transportation are broad sectors that tend to be affected under these influences. What the Fed or other media have to report can be upsetting for some or liberating for others. These planetary transits suggest the interest rate hikes have sunk in and will flip the market dramatically higher or lower. Uranus and ensuing fiscal policies take the lead as we maneuver between positions of equanimity and aggression. Aside from the financial marketplace, other additional potential outcomes are sudden earthquakes or airborne catastrophes. The one constant theme about Uranus is unpredictability so as they say, hope for the best and plan for the worst. March 20: Sun ingress into Aries, the house of “Me first”. Zodiac sign Aries is guided by Mars. As much as I love the Spring Equinox, this transition opens up ego-driven initiatives that can become more war-like. We’ll start to see more forthright action taking place throughout the world. Again, investments in defense stocks, sports, machinery, mining and metals will be in sharp focus. March 22 – 24: Mercury conjoins Jupiter and Neptune, again in the area of hidden secrets, deception, dreams and fantasy. Will it be more knowledge and conversations about inflation, inflated expectations, or both? We’re still learning to uncover clues and alleviate riddles on what to expect for next month. Don’t believe all idealistic notions you think, hear or read. Dreams are wonderful but fantasy can be purely conjecture when investing your hard-earned monies. March 25 – 28: Venus and Saturn conjoin in the 11th sector of groups and societal interests. Toward the month’s ends there’s a solemn or even somber vibe with Saturn in charge. Financial and partnership interests (Venus) seek solid structure and demand responsibility (Saturn). This is a good time for collective societies to join together for serious talks about social improvements, or think more seriously about your asset allocations for the rest of the year. Lighthearted love and soaring stocks may seem a faint memory now. March 28: Moon conjoins Mars, Venus and Saturn in the 11th sector of groups and societal interests. This suggests the general public is focused on innovation and humanitarian needs. As for stock market investments, Saturn can feel restrictive and limiting. You may face difficult choices wondering where to find the next pot of gold. There’s undoubtedly an emotionally serious tone that is brief but concentrated. March 31 - April 1: New Moon in Aries, where “it’s all about me”. Bold strength, courage and renewed self-interests become new motivators for April investing. Until then, dream big and aim high while trying stay grounded and plant seeds for growth. Resistance to volatility is futile. Postface: Is it possible to time and predict the market perfectly with absolute certainty? No, but you can get good clues about overall current trends when using an ephemeris as your guide. This is one reason why J.P. Morgan is quoted as saying, “millionaires don't need astrologers, but billionaires do.” As explained on Wikipedia, “In astronomy and celestial navigation, an ephemeris (plural: ephemerides) is a book with tables that gives the trajectory of naturally occurring astronomical objects as well as artificial satellites in the sky, i.e., the position (and possibly velocity) over time.” Now we can easily review ephemerides online complete with asteroids, lunar nodes and other cosmic points by visiting Astro.com: https://www.astro.com/swisseph/swepha_e.htm The ephemeris I use is geocentric (the sky transitions as viewed by humans on Earth) and based on seasonal calendar Tropical zodiac movements. Don’t knock this ancient language of astrology until you’ve tried it! Experienced astrologers are often able to make reliable calculations using their knowledge of sky symbolism. You only need to understand basic mathematical principles to read an ephemeris or analyze circular wheel charts. The principles divide a 360° circle into a pie of 12 sections and uses numbers 0 – 29 as degrees for easy arithmetic. Math and science were my worst subjects in school and yet it’s super easy with today’s computer software to calculate positions. Learning to interpret the symbolic language takes a bit longer. I’ve been studying planetary cycles for 40+ years. Our Milky Way Galaxy solar system is filled with many planets, dwarf planets, fixed stars and millions of asteroids, not to mention sensitive points like apogees. Transits often overlap and create extremely active months of fluctuating and intersecting energies. Disclaimer: The above content is for entertainment and educational purposes only. As I write this in January, the US markets have continued a decline throughout the first month of 2022 coinciding with retrograde planets Mercury and Venus. This scenario fits as retrogrades are known to be better for reviewing and rebalancing portfolios rather than providing forward momentum. Additionally, stock market concerns became even more important after the North Node entered zodiac $$$ sign Taurus, aka the Bull. By the way, in astrology there’s no zodiac sign that depicts a Bear. There was also a noteworthy shift toward surprises when planet Uranus in Bull sign Taurus turned direct. It’s very difficult to make solid plans when wild and erratic Uranus energy surges and shocks the system. Luckily Venus is set to move direct on January 29, and shortly thereafter Mercury turns direct on February 3. Once both planets again appear to move forward, the stock market might magically mirror this vibe as upward momentum. With all planets then moving in direct motion, the stock markets may finally start to trend somewhat higher. In fact, while posting this on January 28, the markets closed exceptionally higher and seem giddy with joyful love as we're feeling the effect of Venus turning direct one day before the actual change. I’m sure investors are delighted with this welcome break from negative capitulation. To support this theory of seeing greener indices soon, there are two brief but potent transits immediately following Mercury stationing direct on February 4:
These short-lived transits may influence not only the stock markets, but governments as well. On February 8, Mars will “trine” and flow with Uranus, so expect the unexpected. Positive outcomes from these dynamic vibrations are actions toward brilliant innovations. Since Uranus is so unpredictable and Mars is the warrior planet, government upsets such as news of war are just as conceivable as sudden earthquakes. The time frame for something to occur is generally within five days before these two planets exactly align by mathematical aspect. For the month of February as a whole, there are a few bigger, lengthier, and yet more difficult influences which can thwart the above optimism. We’ve certainly been feeling ramifications of the United States Pluto Return which will be exact on February 20. This is the equivalent of transiting Pluto butting heads in precise conjunction with the US natal Pluto at 27° Capricorn. Pluto reaches into the deepest depths of our soul and stirs the pot to force sweeping and inevitable change. Dwarf plant Pluto keywords are power, control, death, transformation, and rebirth. This rare once every 248 years cycle will be within a same degree aspect through October 2023. A major metamorphosis is now taking place that will affect the US government, business, financial matters, citizens, and likely therefore the world. From a financial perspective, international markets are tied together. So, this US Pluto Return will reach the global economy much like a pandemic can affect people worldwide. During February both the Mean and/or True North Node at 27° in Taurus will be speaking harmonious in a “trine” alignment to Pluto in Capricorn. Even so, Pluto isn’t considered easy to manage and is known to be gut wrenching at times. Pluto is the slower moving of these two and a physical body whereas the Nodes are mathematical points. This easy communion between the North Node and Pluto shows the collective knows financial matters must be transformed by powerful governments. In this case Pluto is the cosmic ruler calling the shots. And in truth, this little dwarf planet never feels small. The US Pluto Return transit already suggests the global collective is well aware there are issues the US must address having to do with money and our relationship to it. Whether folks realize it or not, this time is marked as a sacred passage for the US to fully transform into its next stage of evolution. In synchronicity and simultaneously with the USA Pluto Return there is a significant Neptune opposition transit to the USA natal Neptune at 22° Virgo-Pisces. Neptune symbolizes dreams, visions, faith and ideals. This opposition indicates we’ve reached the pinnacle of our founding fathers intended Neptunian visualizations. Astrologically, the timing of these transits happening at the same time is impeccable. USA Pluto Return Chart calculated via Astro.com
