Here's a heartfelt poem that began as a lyric for a song: "TRANSITS" While Neptune is sitting on my Sun I tend to get tired and that’s no fun I would much rather feel a rush With a fiery Mars in Sagittarius Planet Pluto brought an endless pain Since my folks left days aren’t the same Now they’re spirits in the sky Leaving hearts to mend after tears we cry If you’re going through some rough years Still unsure in life or love Stay mutable and try to shift gears Learning lessons from the signs above Oh transits come and go As seasons change we find our flow Moving past us fast though Some travel slow Transits always show What it’s time to know This human experience on Earth Will one day bring us to rebirth By Trudy Carol © 2021 All Rights Reserved

Starting this Thursday, July 29, from our geocentric earthly perspective, Mars – the astrological planet of action and movement – leaves lovable Leo to enter the constellation of diligent Virgo until September 14.
That old quote “the devil is in the details” describes zodiac sign Virgo “perfectly”. After all, Virgo is the energetic sign that strives for perfection. Are you prepared now to get down to business? The best way to align with Martian energies while Mars tours Virgo is to forge ahead and simply “do the work”. As they say, make hay while the Sun shines. It’s no coincidence that Libra season falls after Virgo when what we produce now will be ready for harvest then. How Centaur Chiron in Astrology Can Guide Us Toward Healing Our Core Emotional or Physical Wounds7/14/2021 Known as “The Wounded Healer” among astrologers, Chiron is a fairly new cosmic body in Modern Astrology as the first centaur discovered by Charles Kowal in 1977. Celestial Chiron is named after the Greek mythological centaur Chiron that was twice wounded: first emotionally when abandoned by his parents at birth as an illegitimate child, and then later in life accidentally pierced by his friend Hercules’ poison arrow resulting in an incurable physical wound.
As the Greek myth legend reveals, Chiron was unlike other uncultured, wild, indulgent and when intoxicated, violent centaurs. Instead Chiron was celebrated for healing others as a wise teacher of medicinal herbal treatments. His students included many heroes such as Heracles, Achilles, Asclepius, Perseus, Jason, and others. Although Chiron was a master healer, he ultimately could not heal himself and went on to live immortally honored in the heavens. It’s relevant to mention astronomical specifics here. Centaurs are heavenly bodies that orbit between the Kuiper and asteroid belts. Chiron is categorized as both a comet and minor planet with a peculiar orbital circle around the Sun roaming between Saturn and Uranus yet occasionally nearing Jupiter’s path too. Chiron returns to the same zodiac position by degree approximately every 50 years. Based on this timing it’s fair to say Chiron often corresponds with midlife crisis. I’m reminded about the importance of Chiron in Astrology as from our geocentric tropical perspective this centaur will appear to turn in “retrograde” motion on July 15, 2021 beginning at 12:41 pm Eastern Time. This year its regular annual review starts at 12 degrees in the zodiac sign Aries. (For a refresher on how to make the most of planetary retrogrades in general, see my prior post.) |
