Author highlighted June 2022 Ephemeris used with permission by Astro.com Note: While astrology reveals sky influences over consumer sentiment and market trends, people are always the variable. Free will and every choice we make allows us to transform our destiny in different ways. This is why astrological forecasting does not guarantee 100% accurate predictions. In general, June should be a milder month than what we saw during the mayhem of eclipse season plus ingresses of Venus, Jupiter and Mars in Aries. The May 30th New Moon at 9° Gemini launches a period of curiosity, more active communications, commerce, short trips, and attention on news and media. Gemini ruled by Mercury can be an information hound so we’ll be seeking and processing lots of data. There will be more Gemini dynamism shortly following as we journey through June. Mars and Jupiter both firmly entrenched in Aries can continue to heat up issues like inflation and war. Mars in its home zodiac sign may have the advantage. It’s a great energy for impetus to take actions but it can also fuel anger if we’re not self-aware. Feisty and fiery Mars vigor sitting alongside Jupiter is like throwing rapid punches to a much larger opponent. Mars is rocky and crusty while Jupiter is a gas giant that may not feel knocked out. Inflation falls under Jupiter’s realm. With Mars we’re trying to hit inflation hard but with Jupiter the blows land on what seems like an impenetrable hologram. There’s not a lot of outer planet transit activity in June. Below by dates are the monthly highlights. Use a window of about three days before or after the exact aspect dates to see what transpires both personally and in the markets. Tropical geocentric astrology calculates geometry like 90° square angles which represent tension and advises that adjustments be made. June 3 – 4: From the start of the month, we’ll feel two big shifts. Mercury turns direct (hallelujah!) on Friday, June 3rd and then Saturn turns retrograde on Saturday, June 4th. It’s reasonable to expect these directional changes to influence the markets. We’ll gain mental clarity with Mercury in apparent forward motion and then want to reevaluate our structures, plans and positions while Saturn is retrograde. Saturn appears retrograde until October 22 – 23. It might take that long in the US to see full financial ramifications from our current inflationary predicament and how we fare after the Fed raises interest rates. June 4 – 5: Mars in Aries square to Ceres in Cancer. This suggests actions and/or anger in the home, homeland or on Earth. Ceres is known as the “Earth Mother” dwarf planet. News of a big earthquake or other geologic events are possibly triggered by this kind of transit. I wouldn’t rule out aggravation with the Russia-Ukraine war or oil, gas and food issues either. June 11: Venus is conjunct Uranus in Taurus. Venus rules finances, currencies, banking, plus relationships and the arts. Uranus signifies unexpected surprises and shocking events that occur in a flash like a lightning bolt. We might certainly be in for market upsets within the two days before June 9 and/or June 10. As an example, on May 18 Reuters reported three local banks in China have frozen deposits to companies and individuals and we best hope this kind of problem doesn’t escalate any further. Some larger banks in China have warned demand is shrinking and continuing supply disruptions. One real possibility from a Venus-Uranus conjunction in Taurus is problems like these causing shocks to financial systems beyond China. June 13 – 14: On Monday Mercury re-enters Gemini as it moves forward retracing old ground; then a Tuesday Full Moon at 23° Sagittarius greets us with truths we may not be ready to handle. Emotions will be heightened on the US Flag Day when the Federal Reserve meets. Since this Full Moon is square to Neptune, idealism, hopes, visions, and dreams will be challenged. I expect extreme market turbulence under this influence to include fear and confusion even as early as Monday while everyone waits to hear and see what the Fed will say and do next. President Biden plans to meet with Fed Chairman Jerome Powell to address his concerns about inflation. Will a 75-basis point rate hike be considered? That could prove to be a Venus-Uranus shocker! June 15: Mars is conjunct Chiron in Aries. Any kinds of wounds whether personal or for the collective may become sensitive sore spots and feel inflamed when Mars conjoins and asserts its energy directly on tender Chiron. Healing is another keyword. How do you spell relief? (Hint: Like the commercial, Rolaids may not do the trick!) Today coincides with a Federal Reserve meeting and the next Economic Projections Report. I’m forecasting that with this aspect their analysis won’t deliver a positive outlook like when Fed Chairman Powell insisted inflation was transitory. I think this week could be a rougher ride for stock market traders and investors. June 16 – 18: Sun in Gemini is square Neptune in Pisces. Luminary Sun will now shine its light on all the confusion (and delusion) we experienced earlier in the week. Simultaneously on June 16 planet Venus conjoins the North Node accenting needed clarity for our future financial direction. On June 18 Venus is square Saturn in Aquarius symbolizing societal tensions and lessons learned where money is involved. This is characteristic of taking responsibility and facing unpleasant harsh realities, especially where money (Venus) is concerned. June 19 – 20: Venus briefly conjoins notorious Fixed Star Algol at 26° Taurus which relates to negative experiences. Again, this is a clue the markets aren’t going to like the Fed’s medicine. Per student Dawn Glinski on the Kepler College website, “Algol is associated with pain, suffering, violence, difficult and emotionally intense experiences, beheadings, accidents to the head, losing one’s head (mentally) and has been historically linked with murderous acts, disastrous events, and anything horrific. People are advised to be cautious when personal planets are transiting over Algol, and when natal planets are with in close proximity to her, (conjunction) it is viewed to be an unlucky and troublesome placement.” Because of the volatile nature of Algol, this might also be a key indicator relating to events unfolding in the Russia-Ukraine war. June 21 – 23: Summer Solstice for the northern hemisphere with the Sun ingress into Cancer followed by Venus entering Gemini hopefully ushers in lighter times. This suggests a better week for worldwide markets and stocks with less explosiveness and more convivial momentum. Additionally, a new larger transit that may be a market timing trend occurs around June 22 – 23 when Mars in Aries reaches within 30° of the North Node according to Anthony Of Boston’s book, “The Mars Hypothesis”. I’m curious and will be watching this closely. It’s the first instance since learning about this book for me to personally observe and test the author’s hypothesis in action. More on Mars: In Traditional (aka “Classical” or “Hellenistic”) Astrology, Mars is considered a malefic (evil, bad) planet, especially for mundane world events. Modern “psychological” astrologers prefer to give individuals self-will and propose there are good and bad possibilities for all planets. With self-awareness we can redirect and harness assertive Mars influences for brave and bold action rather than impassioned arguments, aggression or war. As Mars in Aries moves closer to the North Node, future directions for the human collective will be amplified. We can have further indications about which way the markets are headed for the rest of 2022, whether up or down. Things and people could become more hostile than usual. The same is true of financial markets. But it could also be a time marking courage which we may all need to get through the difficulties of inflation and higher interest rates, not to mention the war in Ukraine and other senseless killings by individuals with guns. With Venus also entering Gemini on June 22, more monies may be spent on lighter entertainment while more trips and social media activity ensues. In the US a busy holiday travel season is finally here. Airline, cruise, and hotel sectors plus stocks like Airbnb ($ABNB), Hertz ($HTZ), and Avis Budget Group ($CAR) might benefit from this short-term trend. The Sun entrenched in Cancer specifies security, comfort, family and nurturing. Investments that spotlight and solidify these values will be uppermost on our minds and perhaps in our portfolios too. June 28: Neptune in Pisces turns retrograde the same day as a New Moon at 7° Cancer. This is a great time to review what we dream and imagine most for home and hearth. Tending to family needs and loving relationships will feel nurturing. The Cancer Sun will also square Jupiter in Aries, alluding to potential financial excesses to ensure those family desires are met. Mars is often impulsive and can fan the flames of extravagance while sharing this space with Jupiter. Of course, temptation to splurge beyond your budget is not advised. Maybe in spite of seeing how costly inflation has become we’re ignoring and boldly reaching into our wallets anyway. Be mindful that Neptune retrograde implies a meandering sense of confusion, delusion, illusion, and sometimes self-deception. June 30: Mercury now moving quickly through Gemini leaves its tour within 30° of the North Node of Taurus. By now we should have gained greater clarity surrounding personal, money and market matters. Clear headed and better able to use all the information gathered during the latest eclipses and Mercury retrograde, we can move forward with more confidence. Wherever you are this June and however you spend it, I wish you a wonderful season. © 2022 Trudy Carol

While astrology reveals sky influences over consumer sentiment and market trends, people are always the variable. Free will and every choice we make allows us to transform our destiny in different ways. This is why astrological forecasting does not guarantee 100% accurate predictions. May is officially “eclipse season”. The last day of April brings a Solar Eclipse in Taurus, the “money” zodiac sign guided by Venus. This amplified New Moon conjunct Uranus – the planet of sudden surprises – suggests we might see unexpected events for up to six months. Eclipses act like a door opening wide to help boost us forward and shift our lives in big ways. Venus and Jupiter also conjoined on April 30 adds stimulated visions of expansion re: relationships and/or finances to this eclipse. Since these two planets are in Pisces, politicians, investors and people in general may be wishful however muddled, confused or deceived about current economic conditions, wondering if the economy will expand or contract. Venus leaves peace-loving Pisces and moves into passionate Aries on May 2. This characterizes zestful stock market activity. It’s conceivable we may see some market rallies fueled by Aries enthusiasm. My guess is long-term investors will lean more toward stocks and sectors such as military defense, cybersecurity, munitions, machinery equipment and metals, as Aries is ruled by Mars, and Mars oversees these areas. I’m not suggesting all these are winners, although it’s nice to think that trend is your friend. Since Aries is known for boldness and courage, space-oriented stocks like SpaceX, Aerospace Rocketdyne, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, or Maxar Technologies might see some momentum and a rise in valuations as well. On a positive note, we should finally feel more spring-like drive and a cardinal shift during the month of May as planets Venus, Mars and Jupiter all ingress (enter) fiery Aries. The vibrations of Pisces dreaminess, hopefulness, confusion and fantasy should now begin to dissipate as we say “Goodbye Pisces” (as in the Tori Amos song). That said, Neptune will remain in Pisces until March 30, 2025, so secret dreams, wishful thinking, increased oil prices and water issues (e.g., a lack thereof or memorable floods, rains, hurricanes) can still be part of the picture for a while. Jupiter enters Aries on May 10. After the Sun, Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system representing expansion and growth. While moving through the zodiac, planets infuse with a sign’s characteristic. Zodiac sign Aries is ruled by Mars, the planet of action, courage, boldness and war. We’ll likely feel more audacious and adventurous while Jupiter transits Aries. It’s a fantastic time for initiating big visions, stimulating projects, and enjoying vigorous physical exercise. Jupiter remains in Aries until May 16, 2023 except for a retrograde back into Pisces October 27/28 to December 20 later this year. In addition to this Aries “stellium” of three planets, the brief Moon transit in Aries begins less than two hours before Mars enters Aries on May 24. We’re sure to feel strong assertion and maybe even aggression with this combined Aries ingress and planetary combo of emotions and actions (Moon and Mars respectively). Let’s not forget asteroid Chiron, which represents healing our wounds. Chiron is in Aries until June 19, 2026. Chiron’s orbit travels between Saturn and Uranus, acting as a bridge between our past limitations and future progress. Since Aries inspires bravery and independence, Chiron is perhaps influential in leading us to new paths of daring technology like artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and electric cars (EVs). We’ll sense an additional strong driving force to get things done once planet Mars transits its celestial home. Aries can be red-hot feisty and fiercely independent. Sadly, the war in Ukraine might escalate further under these three sky influences. Jupiter, Mars and Venus will be “speaking” Aries. This sign denotes dynamic energy that’s driven to succeed. Since Aries is a “Fire” sign, once Venus, Jupiter and Mars are in Aries we may also see a hotter than usual Spring with conditions that increase threats of fires burning in the western US. Additional geomagnetic activity and solar flares are another possibility. Long term investors may want to look at solar energy companies as a viable source for potential income. Passions around the world will be rising to say the least! It’s sure to be a super self-motivated month. I’d be remiss not to add some historical references. Famous institutional investors like Peter Lynch, Ray Dalio and Warren Buffet all mention how history repeats itself. In fact, history is often made based on geocosmic cycles. It’s relevant to mention that February 1940 was the last time Venus, Mars and Jupiter were all together in Aries along with Uranus in zodiac sign Taurus. Mars and Jupiter conjoined on January 6, 1940. For more context, back then planet Saturn was also firmly entrenched in Aries. The Moon transited Aries during the same day of the Venus in Aries ingress on February 12, 1940. All that martian fighting spirit preceded the German invasion into Norway and occupation of Denmark on April 9, 1940, marking World War II in Europe. We can also add this year’s April 30 Solar Eclipse and its Saros cycle series #119 cycle to the mix. The previous solar eclipse of series #119 was on April 19, 2004 and occurred during the Battle of Fallujah. We had another Saros cycle #119 solar eclipse on April 9, 1986, just before the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident in Ukraine. May 2022 is not a month to take things lightly or for granted. I implore everyone to take a breath and carefully think first rather than act or speak on Aries impulse. Two planets will appear retrograde during May. Pluto stations retrograde in Capricorn on April 29. There’s often a big shift in the stock markets when a planet changes direction, and we certainly saw the US stock market retreat that day in a huge way. Next up Mercury stations retrograde in Gemini on May 10. At this time power players (Pluto’s realm) may be thwarted and everyone could be reconsidering strategies, where and/or how to diversify portfolios. Traditionally with Mercury retrograde it’s better to review plans rather than initiate new ventures. Mercury governs our communications and commercial transactions such as investing or day trading. We may see more stock selloffs during this phase and more lengthy discussions over fiscal policies. Jerome Powell and the Federal Reserve meet on May 3 – 4 during Mercury’s “pre-retrograde storm” phase. On May 22 Mercury moves back into Taurus and doesn’t turn direct until June 3rd giving us ample time to reassess and refine our goals and plans. On these Fed meeting dates we’ll likely be anticipating shock waves due to a Sun-Uranus conjunction on May 5. This is the kind of geocosmic pairing that creates surprise announcements from leaders, and unexpected whiplash from market lows or highs. Since Uranus rules technology, the NASDAQ is the most probable index to be affected. An example of how this might play out: further surprising news about Elon Musk and Tesla, or his purchase of Twitter. Astrological point to remember for financials or any personal transit: the Sun and Mars act like triggers to thrust events upon us, particularly when in conjoining another planet. With Mercury roaming both Gemini and Taurus our attention will be drawn to communications, commerce and finance. Transportation also falls under Gemini and Mercury. At times it may seem like we’re going over the same old ground. From a geocosmic perspective that’s exactly what’s happening. I like to get any necessary car repairs done before or after a Mercury retrograde, and not during these three or so weeks, whenever possible. Coinciding with this Fed meeting are the Venus Aries ingress and a Mars-Uranus sextile contact. This suggests an opportunity for unanticipated shocks in the financial world. At a mundane level it can produce ground-shaking earthquakes. Just in case, prepare yourself to be rattled. Uranus is the electrifying awakener and Mars in Aries means quick or impulsive actions. Gemini is an “Air” sign which in Medical Astrology oversees the lungs. With Mercury touring retrograde through Gemini there’s a greater chance for airborne illnesses like Covid-19 to once again surge to the forefront of our headline news media. One key “RE” word for retrograde seasons is: “repeat”. To understand how to better manage retrogrades you may want to read my prior blog post about this: https://www.trudycarol.com/astro-talk-blog/how-to-make-the-most-of-planetary-retrogrades-in-astrology A Lunar Eclipse occurs on May 15 – 16 with the amplified Full Moon at 25° Scorpio. Both the Sun in Taurus and Scorpio Full Moon will be challenged by a square to Saturn in Aquarius. Astrologers call this configuration a “T-Square”. These planets are in “Fixed” signs that prefer the status quo with things remaining the same. With the Sun representing our ego and vitality in money sign Taurus, we may feel stressed or pressured by strict Saturnian rules where finances, relationships and/or values are concerned. This dramatic Scorpio lunation suggests that if you muster inner strength and release yourself from toxic emotional ties (whether to people or things) you’ll find a bright light and best direction forward. This can be a very cathartic lunar eclipse to help you leap ahead. Mid-month on May 17 before Mars enters Aries it conjoins Neptune exactly at 24° Pisces. This indicates heightened conundrums over energy, particularly oil and gas commodities which are governed by Neptune. Neptune rules the seas, water, and oceans so this is when chances of floods or raging rains are optimal. Days prior to their precise meeting can stir up climate catastrophes. As Saturn saunters further through Aquarius, by May 17 it’ll reach within 30 degrees of Neptune in Pisces. Saturn oversees our structures and limitations, while again Neptune governs oil, gas and water. Issues between what these two planets represent in mundane astrology are sure to be spotlighted in the coming days and months. The above general overview proposes many issues concerning finances, stock markets, investments and governments can heat up exponentially. Aries and its Mars ruler also signify guns, weaponry and armies. Life will no doubt be more exciting and intense when the Venus, Jupiter and Mars stellium exit Pisces for Aries. From the planetary perspectives, we should recognize a boundless Pisces bubble of hopes and dreams may ultimately burst by month’s end. Remember it’s people – whether in a collective group or an individual person – who are always the variable. Our perceptions and choices of action beget outcomes for better or worse. We’ll likely continue to see courageous warriors in the Ukraine fighting for their independence, but every life lost is an excessive cost. On that note, this pacifist Pisces continues to say aloud, “I pray for peace so war will cease”. I hope you’ll join me in repeating this mantra. © 2022 by Trudy Carol Author highlighted April 2022 Ephemeris used with permission by Astro.com First thing on Friday, April 1 there’s a New Moon in Aries in the Eastern US. Aries is a momentous sign for fresh starts. This New Moon stimuli lasts two weeks until the Full Moon. Both Chiron and Mercury are nearby this monthly conjoining of Sun and Moon. Mercury suggests busy communications, buy/sell commercial transactions and active stock trading. Adding Chiron, we can be motivated to heal wounds as well as past financial pain from ongoing market volatility. Zodiac sign Aries is guided by Mars, the hot red planet of war and action. Therefore, Ukraine may find a new turning point. At the same time this New Moon occurs, asteroid Juno has just met Saturn at 22° Aquarius. Juno holds sway over important partnership matters while Saturn can feel restrictive, dutiful or stern. Since Aquarius seeks independence and can sometimes be rebellious, relationships may experience difficulties if one person is not allowed breathing room. The energies of these two heavenly bodies lasts briefly. All considered it’s a dynamic way to start the month. Additional tension will be strongly felt as Mars then follows with a conjunction to Saturn again at 22° Aquarius during the first week of April. I’ll call it a woeful trifecta. My best guess is this triple conjunction will only increase volatility and limit upward momentum. Mars wants rapid forward motion however Saturn demands steady patience. This pairing can feel like frustration on steroids, especially on Monday, April 4. Pressures should soften a bit once Venus enters Pisces on Tuesday, April 5. Here are two suggestions to make the most constructive use of these trying sky vibes. #1: Aim high by forming new structures. #2: Focus current efforts on strategic plans to build a bridge for future success. Mars, Saturn and Juno making this rare triple contact in Aquarius denotes innovation, genius and mindful progress. It’s a good time to review and reinforce stocks in technology like EVs, AI, and robotics. We may even hear surprising news about joint business ventures in these sectors. Also noteworthy on April 4-5, the Mars-Saturn meeting will make an angular 90° connection of tension to the Lunar Nodal Axis. The Lunar Nodes are two opposing invisible points that represent our collective consciousness. This brief Mars-Saturn square to the Nodes definitely highlights even more strain and pressure being felt throughout humanity. In fact, all of April until June 18, the North Node remains (astrologers say “stations”) at 22° Taurus. Stationing degrees most often signal there’s some sort of lesson to be learned. It's noteworthy to reveal what legendary astrology, healer, and clairvoyant “Charubel” conveyed about 22° Taurus in his book, “The Degrees of the Zodiac Symbolized”: “A king sits upon a throne; behind him stands a figure veiled in black.” Additional interpretation states, “It signifies one who will suffer misfortune in the height of his career and whose fall will be dangerous in proportion to the height he has attained. The native will be too apt to depend on his own powers and will essay feats which will be beyond his natural powers. Ambition will lead him into dangerous positions, and at a weak moment he will fall. Let this be taken as equally affecting his physical, moral, and social welfare. It is a degree of COLLAPSE.” I’ve been wondering how this North Node transit will manifest itself in the world for many months. Will a world leader fall, and who might that be? Astrology offers great clues and insights to trends, however cannot dictate fortunes or results beyond human free will. Throughout April, Saturn inches slowly from 22°-24° Aquarius. The 2° orb square aspect between Saturn and the Nodal Axis will linger into May. Burdened feelings of restriction, depression, and sadness, plus a general serious tone are all possible. The collapse Charubel mentions might also relate to stock markets. There are further astrology configurations later this year indicative of a bear market. Without a doubt this is the kind of month and year that will test our endurance. I’ll write more about these transits and trends in the months ahead. Ongoing themes about money, personal values, our talents and skills are being highlighted throughout 2022 while Uranus and the North Node travel zodiac sign Taurus. One hopeful astrological highlight in April is the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces, exact on April 12 at 10:42 a.m. Eastern Time. This rare alignment reaffirms the biggest dreams we can ever imagine, whether or not they come true. Financial and mundane interpretations of this specific combination include increased prices in crude oil, issues with water and/or amplified rain-related storms. Both Jupiter and Neptune are gaseous planets. “Irrational exuberance” is an appropriate description. During this phase it’s prudent to remember wishful thinking can be deceptive. With Jupiter conjunct Neptune in Pisces, it can be an expansive renewal for natural gas or wise beginning for hydrogen fuel cells to become part of our energy supply. Crude oil prices already appear to be overheated and rising. This Jupiter-Neptune pairing also suggests we’re now at or near peak oil. It likely won’t be until February 2026 when Saturn conjoins Neptune that we see high gas prices finally dissipate. By then there’s a greater likelihood of reduced oil consumption along with more electric car choices for consumers. The EVs are coming! The EVs are coming! If at all possible, file and complete your taxes by April 7 or April 8 when Mercury in Aries forms an auspicious 60° sextile alignment to Saturn and Mars in Aquarius. You can thank me later for this advice. The Full Moon in Libra on Saturday, April 16 once again highlights partnerships matters from earlier in the month. “La Luna” crests on the holiday weekend right around “Tax Day”. Planet Pluto will form a 90° square to both Sun and Moon. This can signify personal challenges and pressures with power players and government. In 2022 the US tax filing deadline falls on April 18. Along with an exact Sun square to Pluto that day, Mercury conjuncts Uranus, and Venus is sextile Uranus. These Uranian energies can point to surprises and/or upsets with communications, paperwork and money. I find it kismet rather than an odd coincidence how these planetary combos all fall on Tax Day. The IRS is now asking about virtual currency holdings on the first page of Form 1040. Cryptocurrency is ruled by Uranus, while money and currencies fall under the realm of planet Venus. You’ll want to answer this question correctly. On April 19 the Sun enters money sign Taurus. This brings further emphasis on financial matters. Then on April 22 to April 23, Mercury conjoins Uranus at 22° Taurus. Prepare for sudden shocking news whether in the markets and/or about crypto. Headlines about tech stocks or social media may surface. Brilliant inventions can favorably appear on the horizon. In addition to communications and neighborhoods, Mercury also rules local travel and transportation. We may learn of further supply chain disruptions. Let’s hope instead that innovation will help guide our way through those continued postponements. The month ends with more astrological drama. On Friday, April 29, Pluto turns retrograde, suggesting a time when those in power will begin thorough reviews of government policies. It’s likely Congress will be actively strategizing behind the scenes until Pluto turns direct on October 8. On Saturday, April 30, we have a Solar Eclipse in Taurus. We might expect some surprises since the Moon will conjoin Uranus shortly thereafter. The two financial planets Venus (money) and Jupiter (wealth) will also conjoin at this Solar Eclipse to open a portal. Yet again, it’s money as the #1 theme. The next Solar Eclipse in Taurus is sure to shine a light on student loan forbearance which as of this writing officially ends Monday, May 2. For many years I’ve heard economists say student loan debt will herald the next big stock market crash. Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine, rising inflation, continued supply chain delays, a lingering pandemic, and trillions of dollars in government and personal debt are simply not conducive to a burgeoning bull market. It’s definitely more fun to be a bull than a bear, especially as we journey through Taurus season. After all, zodiac sign Taurus is symbolized by a bull. Day and swing traders may wonder why a full-on bull market isn’t already raging under the collective influence of the North Node and Uranus in Taurus. Perhaps mad bulls will decide to make a run for it since “the sky’s the limit” with Jupiter conjunct Neptune. All investors should hold onto their hats (and money) this year. Try your best not to hurl while riding this 2022 rollercoaster. Of course, astrology offers more daily and other short-lived transits worth noting, but I’ve reached my finish line for this post. © 2022 Trudy Carol |
