Pluto square Eris Seemingly Adds Devastating Consequences to the US Afghanistan Withdrawal

Current events reflect the yoga mantra “As above so below, as within so without”.
 
It’s significant to mention how Pluto square Eris is exact today at 24° Capricorn and Aries respectively.
 
These planets first met to the minute at 23° in December 2020 so we’ve been under their spell a while. Outer planets such as Pluto and Eris move extremely slowly and take time to move on.

It pays to understand Modern Astrology as the world has been having a rough time lately under the influence of Pluto square Eris. A square in the heavens is a 90° mathematical angle of tension and challenge.

Eris is a more recently discovered dwarf planet considered the sister to warrior planet Mars and named after the Greek Goddess of discord and strife.

The transits of these two celestial bodies has been wreaking havoc all year and is an underlying influence to a coinciding pressures from a Saturn square Uranus that has to do with life structures versus freedom and innovation (another hot topic among astrologers this year).
 
We can feel aspects between planets a day or two before their exact connection (sans the Moon which travels much faster). Global news has gotten more strained with current events in Afghanistan with increased terror attacks and challenges to America leaving that country.
 
I’m not usually a Mundane Astrologer, that is, someone who reviews worldwide circumstances as influenced by astrology. However it’s worthwhile to mention that the Pluto-Eris square is also square to the United States’ natal Mercury at 24° Cancer.
 
Mercury rules local travel and communications which is surely under fire in Afghanistan. We can undoubtedly say Americans are being greatly confronted under these strong planetary influences.

This Pluto-Eris Cardinal square will once again be exact on October 8 this year, thankfully for the last time. I add the quality of “Cardinal” because Capricorn, Aries, Cancer (and Libra) are cardinal zodiac signs known for initiatives and taking action.

Right now Capricorn and Cancer are in an opposition face off. Capricorn oversees government and Cancer, ruled by the Moon which represents the people, are at odds.

As astrologers often say, “the astrology doesn’t lie.”

It's especially interesting how a direct contact with Libra is missing from this "T-square" (aka two opposing planets simultaneously squared by a third). Zodiac sign Libra represents the need to balance and is guided by Venus, the planet of love. Venus will soon be at 24° on September 5 so let's pray for a better outcome.
